choosing the right wedding band
When you're planning your day you might find yourself caught up with flowers, bridesmaid dresses and seating arrangements. The last thing you need is to worry about is the band and wedding entertainment. Karizma Duo are here to make your day as relaxing, smooth and most of all enjoyable as possible. We pride ourselves in delivering the best service for a competitive price. We understand that each wedding is unique and comes with different needs. This is why we tailor our music and setlist to you specifically, making your day memorable.
1. Which band is right for me?
First it's great to sit down together and think about what music you both like. Do you like Rock music? Or do you prefer Pop and Soul?
If you're like most couples, you might find you have different tastes in music. Don't worry, Karizma has a wide repertoire of music which means there will be something for everyone on the dance floor. From Daft Punk and Bruno Mars to The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, there's sure to be something even your grandma will rush to the dance floor for!

2. How much should I spend?
Choosing the wedding entertainment for the evening can feel daunting. There are many bands available but not all will be suitable for your day. Sure you might have friends who recommend their mate's band but entertaining a crowd is more difficult than it seems. Also since there is generally no contract between you and them, it's most likely they might not show up, leaving you without a band (and an evening without music). Would you want to leave your big day in an amateur's hands?
When booking a band their price will give you a good estimate of how professional of a service they provide. Too low (i.e. £500 for a 4 piece band) and you're probably dealing with musicians who are just starting out, with lack of experience when it comes to making your day special. Paying a little more for your band will ensure that each member is of a high quality and usually therefore also a member of the Musician's Union meaning they are fully covered with Public Liability Insurance and PAT tested equipment (usually needed in most wedding venues).

3. Anything else I should know?
Always ask for a contract with bands. Professional bands will always ask you to sign a contract and usually will charge a deposit between 20-50%. This is to ensure that you receive the band line-up that you requested and that no other bookings will be taken for that act for that day.
Lastly, don't be afraid to ask lots of questions. Bands will be more than happy to answer any questions you have!
